Perfect Death by Helen Sarah Fields
4.0

Edinburgh and D.I Callanach are unaware that they have a serial killer on their hands. The killer guarantees a slow and painful death by using perfectly calculated doses of poison. Even the victims are unaware that they have been targeted. The killer then enjoys the aftermath. The hunt for the killer is made harder by the fact that no one seems to have seen/know him. Reading the toll that the deaths have on the family members is heartbreaking. There should also be a TW for suicide in this book so definitely don't read this one if that is one of your triggers. .

I love DCI Ava Turners and D.I Luc Callanachs chemistry. The fact that Ava has been promoted to be Lucs senior makes the feelings they have that much more complicated. I'm interested to see how they develop. We also learn a bit more about Lucs past and his relationship with his mother. There is also a sub plot including the death of an ex colleague and some questions over his life on the job which adds some action

I found this book a bit slow compared to the other 2 however I still enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I am definitely invested in Ava & Luc's lives.
