The Fill-In Boyfriend
by Kasie West
The Fill-In Boyfriend is the first book by this author I have read. My daughter had read another book by Kasie West and really enjoyed it, so I thought I would give this one a try. I did like it, a very cute story.
I think there is a lesson to learn from this book about staying honest and true to yourself, no matter what other people may say or think. Also, in just not letting what other people think dictate our lives. Too much pressure is put on young and old alike to behave a certain way.
There is also much to learn about parenting, if you're a parent like I am. I definitely want to be like Hayden and Beck's mother instead of like Gia and Drew's parents. I want to be someone who my kids can feel comfortable opening up to and not hiding how they feel about things, even if they think I will think it's silly.
