It is very unusual for me to rate a book so very low but I just couldn't enjoy reading this book (though I'll admit that it wasn't so bad for me to stop reading). The main character was very unlikable - she was a busy-body and interferring person who thinks she's better than everyone else; I couldn't find one thing I liked about her. A
The narrative was just plain annoying. Every few paragraphs it would start to 'wax philosophical' by having the main character thinking about morals and ethics and thinking in terms of a philosophy textbook. A few times this was related to the characterisation and the story, but most of the time there didn't seem to be any reason for it and it just pulled me out of the narrative which meant I got lost as to what was happening.
