This was an extraordinary read that will most definitely stick with me. Probably with every single person who reads it. I think it’s a really important topic that reflects on such realistic and unforgettable life situations. Nothing about this is fantasy. That being said, our main character Tess has so much heart it’s hard to read at times. She finds a community she’s always dreamed of after moving to a new place with her mother. The friends and family she craved is now right within her reach.

But after a decision she makes for the best of herself, she’s ostracized. It’s a fantastic message at the core of this story and the new friends she makes really help her confront not only the present but the past. This book definitely involves quite a few controversial topics and the author focuses so much on the healing aspect, it’s a breath of fresh air with this. This is an absolute must. But also I fear easily banned in certain areas. It’s important to read topics like this whether it’s your personal experience or someone close to you.

Thank you so much to the author and TBRandbeyond book tours for my physical copy!
