fun fact: i was once one of the biggest fanfiction writers in a fandom, so this book hit really close to home.

it's a really well-done story about the creator of one of the biggest webcomics in the world. it's a love letter to introverts, online friendships, and fandom. i could really see myself in Eliza—the isolation in high school, finding refuge in online communities, the anxiety of juggling both lives, the panic attacks that come when someone finds you out. been there, done that, got the trauma t-shirt.

also, the snippets we got from the webcomic really made me want to read it. the descriptions were just lovely.
