It’s rare that a writer can take such an unflinchingly hard look at the post-Trump political climate and make the resulting book something that is comforting, honest, and empowering. I cried and I laughed my ass off and I realized that actually most people don’t want to overturn Roe v. Wade, living my whole life in a red state has just been lying to me. I’ve been a Lindy West fan since she was taste-testing disgusting candy corn Oreos for Jezebel and I was a bored secretary. She has (we have??) only gotten better, and I’ll read everything she puts out.
