Kenobi: Star Wars
by John Jackson Miller
Poor Obi-Wan. This was good characterization with an interesting backstory for how he became the crazy old wizard hermit on Tattoine. I was worried that Annileen would be killed off and (spoiler but I'm not sorry) I'm glad she wasn't - it was a bittersweet conclusion, which is the best that could have been hoped for. It's true that this was essentially a Star Wars Western (but also Star Wars is essentially a Space Western) and that's not really quite my thing, and it's true the book didn't focus as much on Kenobi as I expected given, you know, the title, but it was still an interesting delve into the world of Star Wars, and into Kenobi's perspective, the few times we got it.
