Forever in the Country
by Alexandra Hale
forever in the country is the long awaited for conclusion to the clementine creek series. sorren’s time in the military was cut short after a career ending injury. he’s been back in clementine creek, the only place he’s ever called home, for a couple of years and the one person he finds himself wanting to be around is rhea. they’ve become friends over the years, but the line between friendship and more is crossed more often than not. rhea wants more but sorren doesn’t think he’s ready to give her more. when they finally become more something comes back from his past. is their new relationship strong enough to weather his not-so-secret past?
from the moment i started the clementine creek series i was counting down until sorren’s book. a gruff, scarred, grumpy hero who doesn’t think he’s good enough to be loved by the people around him??? give it to me now!!! i’m so glad that their romance was at the end because we got to watch them slowly fall in love with each other and taste the sweetest slowburn victory in forever in the country. rhea and sorren own such a big piece of my heart. i absolutely loved how their relationship showed them learning to communicate with each other and what it means to love someone who doesn’t think they deserve it. alexandra hale has such a talent for writing characters who have gone through the ringer but come out knowing they have a whole community of support. i do think that each romance throughout the series gave major soulmate vibes.
