Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
4.0

A clever premise for a book- 'heroes' who act like bad guys. David's got revenge on his mind and it's been festering there ever since he was a young boy and witnessed the death of his father at the hands of the Epic, Steelheart. I liked how ambitious and driven David was. But he was also willing to listen to other points of view and try to understand them. In the beginning he came off a bit immature and annoying to me but he grew up quite a bit during his time with the Reckoners.

The Reckoners are a fun group of characters, all with their own unique personalities. Megan's moodiness was starting to wear thin on me and I'm still confused by her characters actions. This is really a fun book that played out like a movie in my head. I'm not sure I would keep up with the series, just because of the borderline middle grade feel to it, but I did enjoy it. The book is narrated by Macleod Andrews and I thought he did an excellent job.
