While I am still a fan and want to read more, this book was a little slow for me and then ended with a big bang. I knew something had to happen at the end because everything was leading up to it. I do like the development of Michael as he comes to terms with what he is. At this point I would welcome a book from one of the other character's perspectives. I still like Claire, more than most female heroines in YA, but I feel like we are missing out on the rest of the character's stories. Eve was present but in and out of this book and I wanted more.
