I've had this book for a bit. And back before the pandemic, I had tickets to a their tour with a meet and greet included. I was excited and wanted to make sure I read their book before going see them. But then everyone shut down, the show was indefinitely postponed, and I put this book on the back burner for a variety of reasons.

Now, though, the show is finally rescheduled and I find myself still having not read the book. I made a point to read it today (and opted to listen along because they read the audiobook themselves and that almost always makes for interesting reading) and am mostly not disappointed.

I've followed Trae for a few years now, so I knew what to expect regarding their beliefs. But I didn't expect to hear the "r" slur multiple times. That was disappointing, but this book was enjoyable, relatable (I'm from South Louisiana), and hilarious. I'm looking forward to the show and to hopefully getting my DTE signed.
