This is a solid collection to help grow Mark up in a mature way.

With him finally dating Amber, Mark is trying to balance school, superheroism, and dating. He's not very good at it as he is called on A LOT to save the world because...well he's a superhero. In doing so he has a lot of his relationships straining from his drunk mother, to his girlfriend not trusting him, to his best friend being a dick (Though he always is) to just trying to be a better man.

What I did enjoy is the slow burn of his growth here. I think in the trades I gave both volume 4-5 (These volumes covered here) a 3.5 but I'ma bump both to a 4 because I can really enjoy seeing Mark's steady growth as a teenager to more adulthood. I also really enjoyed the humor, it was far better in this volume than previous ones. Also, Allen makes a comeback and he's always great.

While it feels mundane somewhat I promise all the storylines building up here are going to have a huge pay off, make this a great setup volume. A 4 out of 5.
