This book was very sparsely written. I'm sure that there are readers out there who would enjoy the style of this author, but it just wasn't for me. I did like the premise of the story, however, and wish someone had taken this idea and written a full on novel or series about it. I even liked the idea of watching her son grow in such dire circumstances. I just really wasn't a fan of the writing style.
