I really liked this memoir of a trans woman coming out and living her life. I also appreciated the discussion of her navigating a rather public life through her transition and the political issues she was involved with. In the middle is a section dealing with the illness and death of her partner and husband that didn't fit well with the rest. I mean, it was part of her life and worth talking about, but it felt quite different from the rest of the book. Overall, an excellent read and I'd highly recommend it for an own-voices account of the transgender experience.
