Circe by Madeline Miller
4.0

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 4 stars

Circe is about Circe, the daughter of the mightiest Titan Helios, God of the sun. She’s not powerful nor viciously alluring, but discovers the power of witchcraft instead.

I am a big Greek and Roman mythology fan and have always loved reading about them. I really liked how Miller portrayed the mythology in her books.

The writing was beautifully done, and you just want to keep on reading until the end. I loved how Circe’s story slowly came to life on the pages and how her whole life was there for you to read. You get to see all of her, broken parts, healing parts, complete parts, incomplete parts as well as her love, loss, discovery, resolve and determination. I wasn’t really known with her story, just knew who she was, so I really learned a lot reading this book. Her characterization is just wonderfully written.

Overall, it was a beautiful story that captivated and enthralled me from the very start.
