The Revolution of Ivy
by Amy Engel
Such a stellar sequel and what I assume is a conclusion.
The best part of this novel was the way feelings were dealt with. The fact that Ivy went brought anger, sadness, denial, and love all at the same time.
The outside was interesting and well paced. Going back was perfectly timed and the arrival of Bishop was well done. This book felt much faster in pacing. It felt over before it even started in a weird way. I just read it really fast.
The only slight issue is how things wrapped up sorta fast and easy at the end. The government and future was handled very well but the means to get there felt a little rushed and forced. They did feel different though and I was not expecting some of the things that happened.
I also loved the new characters. Ash and Caleb were awesome. Their progression was good and they felt very meaningful. Everyone's progression was good even both of the fathers who had great progression at the end. Ivy had really unique character progression as she tried to discover herself again. I really liked that different approach.
All in all I really enjoyed this duology. The first book had a cool concept and the characters kept me on for more.
