The Summer I Saved You
by Elizabeth O'Roark
slow-paced
- Single Mom
- Small town
- Workplace Romance
- Grumpy X Sunshine
- Childhood crush
This is the second book in The Summer Series, but can be read as a standalone.
I went into this one completely blind and I am so glad that I did. Lucie and Caleb’s story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. The angst in this book was everythingggg, when the “will they, won’t they” tension between them finally snaps, oh my gosh! I loved it. I do wish Lucie would have stood up to herself more when it came to Jeremy and that Caleb had done A LOT more groveling, but overall I really enjoyed this one and I am looking forward to book 3!
