I really thought this book was like the Hunger Games...it is definitely not like the Hunger Games.

We follow Avery, who for some reason, gets to inherit a huge fortune. Her only condition? She must live in the house every other expectant heir has lived in their entire life for one year. She cannot travel, she cannot leave the state, she must remain living in the house.

This creates a LOT of tension because the number of people who were expecting a large portion of the inheritance claim the house as their own. Avery has to navigate her feelings for the four brothers, two mothers, and other characters throughout the novel.

The only reason this does not get a five star is because some chapters would end with a question or a huge statement and then the next chapter would start and Avery would not react. We KNOW Avery is a smart person, she would react with questions or even some internal analytics in response to these situations, but she doesn't. I could not get over it throughout the entire book. I am excited to pick up the rest of the series though!
