I hate this book. I struggled to finish it. I'm too damn stubborn to leave a book unfinished, and I kept thinking, it's a classic -- it will get better, right? Wrong. Every character is detestable and certifiably insane. The plot is scattered. The storytelling technique is dry and boring. There is not a single redeeming aspect of this book.
