I picked this book up for the 2020 DesertAThon. It was my pick for the prompt of a book with a monster in it.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a unique version of the beauty and the beast story that had a somewhat Russian feel to it. The main message of this book is amazing which made me like the book even more in the end.

I expected this to be a bit more action packed to due to the focus on Yeva being a hunter. This book was not action packed but it didn't needed to be. For the message it wanted to deliver it was perfect. I enjoyed that a lot
