So this is a slow burner which I don’t usually go for but had me hooked from the beginning.
It kept the intrigue flowing enough that at no point did I feel like it needed to speed up and I was happy just relishing in every moment of it.
The trials were an interesting concept as well as the interwoven plague storyline and I was left wondering how each one would be beaten.
I loved Kiva, she was so kind hearted and sweet. Her relationship with Tipp was PURE! Honestly, I adored them and their found family bond.
I also really enjoyed seeing her relationship with Jaren, Naari and Mot.
But the END. I can’t believe the author did that to me. I cannot wait to get book 2 in my hands!
