I have so much appreciation for this book. A diverse and cultural coming of age YA that hits all of the important need to be talked about topics. The necessity of being able to be who you are and not letting other people's lack of understanding deter you from being true to yourself.

Nishat does not experience just a school competition against the first girl she has feelings for... She's also at war with possibly being rejected by her family for being lesbian and protecting her culture and traditions from others who don't appreciate where she comes from.

I absolutely loved everything about this book.
