Finn Rhodes Forever by Stephanie Archer
5.0

“You’re so beautiful, Olivia. I look at you and I can’t breathe. I can’t think. I just want to be with you.”

Synopsis

Liv Morgan has just one summer to finish her dissertation. One summer to defend her thesis. One summer to find the pink sand verbena.

No one believed her when she claimed she saw the extinct flower. No one, but the one man she wants to forget was ever a part of her life. But now that time is running out, she might need his help in her search. And on top of that, he’s convinced they’re meant to be together forever, but she knows the truth: he’ll get bored and leave again just like last time. Liv desperately needs to convince him that they’re not endgame, but he has to be the one to admit it. Can she repulse him enough to persuade him to leave her alone forever?

“Finn had always been my kryptonite, but as an adult? With the tattoos, his filled-out form, and the sparkle in his eye? If I didn’t hate him so much, he’d be irresistible.”

Finn Rhodes has just one summer to make Liv fall in love with him again. One summer to convince her they’re soulmates. One summer before she moves away from Queen’s Cove.

Finn was there when Liv saw the flower the first time, so he’s more than happy to aid in her hunt for its relocation among the forest, as long as he can use this quality time to remind Liv why they’re perfect for each other. He knows what he wants and sees right through her attempts to drive him away. He’s here to stay this time and he’s hellbent on proving that to her. Is she really the one he’s trying to convince? Or is he overcompensating for what he knows deep down to be his destiny?

”Liv and I were soulmates. Leaving was the biggest mistake of my life. I needed to make her fall back in love with me, or I’d regret it forever. I was about to go making a fucking fool of myself over Liv Morgan.”

My Thoughts

Reading this book felt like a warm hug. A warm hug that turns into something a little dirty. I’ve missed my Queen’s Cove family and Stephanie Archer did not disappoint with Finn Rhodes Forever. She describes Liv’s shenanigans as How Do Lose a Guy in 10 Days-esque, but I would also compare them to Naomi’s in You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle. Just some of the most absurd, harebrained antics that I could never come up with in a million years.

Holden is still my #1 Rhodes brother, but Finn is a close second. He’s got that boyish charm that’s sooo irresistible, and I just want to squeeze his cheeks and jump his bones every time he speaks. It’s obvious how much he truly loves Olivia, even if he’s not fully convinced himself. His love language is very clearly Acts of Service, and it’s so much fun to watch that manifest on page.

The locals are always a riot in Queen’s Cove. Don wasn’t as present in FRF as he has been in the past, but Miri was in rare form this book. I don’t want to give too much away, so all I’m gonna say is: Sadie’s. Baby. Shower.

All in all, this book was a BLAST, and I would recommend it to literally anyone ten times over. If you love yourself, you need to read this book. If you like yourself even a little bit, you need to read this book. If you exist at all, you need to read this book.
