I liked seeing Elle completely accept her sexuality, but also struggle with the ramifications of trying to find a partner perfectly suited for her, her unicorn. While I was so mad at Jackson so many times, I also appreciated his journey, his ready admittance that he was a terrible person, and being totally into Elle's kink. Masculinity comes in all forms, and I loved having hero who was so comfortable in himself that he had no qualms about being seen as "less" because he loves having his partner tie him up, dominate him, etc.
