This book was amazing. Jude is far too clever for the fae. She was in control, she had the king and kingdom under her thumb. What is so brilliant about these two books is that it shows characters who will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Jude had control over the King. Jude was ambitious enough to take everything. I love the tension between Cardan and Jude throughout the whole novel and it was awesome to see the table turn at the very end. This is the rare occasion where the protagonist of a YA book is cunning and intelligent. She plays many dangerous games in this book and wins nearly all of them. Until she lost everything in the end. I know this book just came out, but I’m already patiently waiting for the next book. Seriously loved this book, couldn’t put it down.
