Haunting exploration of how history, especially traumatic history, affects present relationships, specifically those between a mother and her daughters. I identified most with Meredith (which kind of freaked me out) and was annoyed with Nina (which was possibly the point?). The pacing sometimes didn't work for me and some details felt out of place, mainly because the male characters felt very convenient and cardboard.
