Julius Caesar
by William Shakespeare
My Rating : 4🌟
Who ever knew the heavens menace so? Those that have known the earth so full of faults
This is one of my favourites Shakespeare plays that holds a special place because it was a part of my school syllabus! This play takes place after Julius Caesar returns back home after defeating the sons of his arch-rival. And the senators of Rome and his loving friend contrive a plan to murder him.
I really love reading Shakespeare English. I know its difficult to understand and takes a long time to read, but it's fascinating. Especially how they address each other. I really love how they play with the words & sentences to sway the people, being politicians. My favourite character has to be Mark Anthony. His love for Caesar and how he avenge his death plays an important part in this play. Though its a tragedy, i love how the story unfolds and ends.
I needn't recommend this you guys, it is one of the finest tragedies written and definitely read it if you love classics!
