Love at First
by Kate Clayborn
I was #gifted a digital copy of this book by @lovebookstours and the publisher @canelo_co in exchange for an honest review- thanks so much.
I read a lot of contemporary romances and ones that are described often as "heartwarming" give me the heebie-jeebies because I find them too cringy to enjoy. This book is a clear exception, however and I genuinely loved it.
Our "couple" - though as expected there would not be much of a novel if they were that from the start - are both damaged but ferociously independent, stubborn but likeable and the right mix of sweet and spicy to each other.
The surrounding characters are what usually makes a novel like this a little twee but they were sparky enough that that totally wasn't the case. A true, feel good triumph.
