In an Absent Dream
by Seanan McGuire
I was not expecting to like this story as much as I did, mainly because Lundy didn't really make an impression on me on the first book of the series, Every Heart a Doorway.
I was very pleasantly surprised though, because this story was not only sweet and tender, but also very heartbreaking. Even though I already knew what will happen to Lundy, since this is a prequel, I couldn't help but wish she met a differetn fate.
The Goblin Market has to be one of my favourite worlds McGuire created, I found the rules oddly soothing and I guess I found a bit of myself in Lundy too.
Overall, it was a very nice story, with an intriguing premise wholesome characters!
