A solid YA spooky book that I would say is appropriate for middle grade readers as well. The spookiness is minor, so if you're more squeamish towards horror this would be a good option. Sometimes the haunted house story is about the friends you made along the way. I liked each member of the trio of unexpected friends and their individual character journeys. It was a nice touch that the audiobook had a different narrator for each one.
Moderate: Confinement, Blood, Grief, Death of parent, Abandonment
Minor: Animal death, Bullying, Child abuse, Racism, Religious bigotry, Murder, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
