Bippity Bop Barbershop
by Natasha Anastasia Tarpley
Age: preschool - 1st grade
Media: Watercolor
Illustration Style: Realistic, lots of white space for early listeners, some pictures are poorly chosen to correspond with the story
Miles makes his first trip to the barbershop with his dad who, with other customers of the shop, encourage Miles to be brave. When he finally gets to the chair, he becomes frightened by the sound of the razor but finds relief in his dad’s imagination. An excellent book for the first haircut and all the uncertainty that comes with it.
