Not my favorite execution of this type of story line . This one was a bit of a slow burn for me . I feel like the ending saved this from being a 3 star primarily due to a change in pacing and finally some twists. I did love the reminders from this book that everyone has a skeleton in their closet and a past that may not always be quite what you expected .

The introduction of a certain two characters felt very rushed and brief . I don’t feel like their backstory addition was sufficient enough to feel necessary or beneficial to the story . I do love this author but this one didn’t have the same thrill as their other works for me .
