This was insta love-y and lacked in the characterization department, especially when you compare it to her newer works. But this was only, what, the second book she ever published? She’s definitely grown as an author since then. And despite the lack of depth, I had a fun time, so not bad. If you want to read an indulgent rich, older man is slightly dominant and wants to protect and spoil, this is that. His only character trait is literally how much he wants the mc, but you know what, sometimes that’s all you need.
