now if we’re talking Just about the book and not its author, this was fun but still a downgrade from the first one. I still like the characters and I’m not that bothered about this leaning more towards YA territory with its dialogues and eternal miscommunications. But the pacing was off, there was too much info dumping, and the choice to always wait to spell out to the reader the realisations and epiphanies of the characters, even the most obvious ones, got annoying fairly fast. This made me tear up around the middle over a particular scene focused around Liam and I adored the weight that his death was given throughout the book, but at the same time I also had to skim through A Lot of the romance because it got too cringy for me. So it’s probably a 2,5/5.
