This book wasn't what I expected, but I still enjoyed it. Ellie learns more about her family, what she likes and doesn't like and the ups and downs of friendship. I always love a book with a great grandparent/grandchild relationship, which this one does well. I also liked that Ellie's parents, while divorced, could still be civil to one another.
