Diesel and Parrish are so wonderful, I just wanted to squishy hug them both. Diesel is kind, overwhelmed, caring and absolutely adorable with his niece. Not to mention the love he has for his chickens.
Parrish mumbles silly sayings and loves talking out loud to himself and is so sweet that he gives apology casseroles. Their love and devotion to baby Marigold, and just having family time together, warms the heart.

I was hooked by this story from the very beginning and read it in one sitting. There’s lots of humour, a wonderful cast of main and side characters, sweet and steamy moments, the antics of the Licking Thicket locals and their love for a festival all combined with an enjoyable fake-to-real plot line made for a fantastic read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more in the series.
