Sooo after the mahoosive cliff hanger that was from [book:Reason to Breathe] I was eager to plug in and listen to book 2.
Now Emma has escaped from her aunts clutches she is living with her best friend Sara although she still has the scars and the smashed ankle to remind her of that last awful night.
Emma decides that now would be a good time to get to know her mother and promptly decides to move in with her.......WRONG DECISION!
Although in the previous book her mother seemed to have put the drinking behind her, unfortunately it has escalated into her being a full blown alcoholic, partying till all hours and bringing back a different man every night, one of these men is Jonathan.
Emma and Evan are still on the love train but haven't taken the step off of the platform yet, if you know what I mean!
Emma for some unknown reason keeps her mother's drinking a secret from Sara and Evan but confides in Jonathan and they strike up a secret friendship, meeting and calling each other in the middle of the night to discuss their nightmares.
I started to get really annoyed with Emma by the end of the book though as she seemed to want to fix everyone without sorting out her own shit first!
She tramples all over Evans heart as she doesn't trust him enough to share her secrets about her past and tells them all to a random bloke that her mother's been shagging!
I will be reading book 3 but I'm not in such a rush to do so.
