I unfortunately have to admit that even though I started reading this book literally 5' after reading it's synopsis, I didn't like it as much as I hoped I would.

The first half had me hooked, I couldn't stop reading late into the night, because it was an intriguing dystopian story about a girl that grows up in a very conservative church community under the iron fist of a Prophet, while the whole world is ravaged by a mysterious pandemic (rings any bells?
