Great book! Brings the past three hundred years and how the white men affected the Ghanian people closer. The idea of the characters was great, very interesting people and heart-touching stories!

I think I don't love books with many, seemingly unconnected, characters as much as other do. It is just so tough to read and take away a clear story. Yes, this one was about Ghana, Africa, Colonization, Slavery, and many more. But that is just so broad.
For me, this books joins "Girl, Woman, Other" and "Dream Country" that both had great intentions and beautifully humanized an important issue, but failed to deliver a compelling story past that. Maybe I should lower my expectations.
