I struggled with this one. I liked the characters but it felt like they were merely going through the motions - Point A to Point B with their stiff dialogue moving the action. This isn't my first Beverly Jenkins, and I will seek out her other titles out of curiosity but I'm not rushing to finish the series at this time.
