I liked the story, but really disliked the writing. I thought that the author was trying wayyyyyy too hard to be descriptive and it came across awkward. I read this with a friend and we were constantly joking about the number of ridiculous similes that kept popping up. We also both really disliked the majority of the characters...

Would I suggest this book to others? Yes. However, I would definitely warn them about the writing style.
