This series seems to be continuously sitting at 3.5 star reads for me. It's nothing special, and is extremely predictable at times, but it's still an extremely enjoyable and fairly quick read. The characters are intriguing and provide duality for both the good and the bad characters. I really enjoy Penelope as an antagonist while Lina makes me want to pull my hair out. Same with good female characters. I love Diana but Elizabeth is so annoying that I was grateful she wasn't in a majority of the book.

My biggest issue honestly was the pacing. The book alternated between being a total drag to super fast paced which was disorienting and made me unwilling to pick it up at times. The ending was interesting enough though that I will definitely be continuing the series.
