Premise was cool: outsider heroine going to nursing school becoming part of a MC family. Mute hero, brooding and a bit of an asshole, big time protector vibes. Soft & sweet heroine. Grumpy/sunshine trope, and a MC that is all about respecting their women. Love that.

HOWEVER, my issues:
-heroine can magically read the heroes mind based off of his random hand gestures and facial expressions
-for a 26 and 35ish year old, super juvenile inner dialogue at times
-heroine was first person POV, hero was third person POV. A bit confusing
-we had the first sex scene with a condom, love that. Then condoms were never mentioned again and quickies occured. Did they magically get STD tests in the middle of the night??
-very instalove, going from zero to "I love you, you complete me" in a blink of an eye.
-the villain was a comic book character, literally and figuratively. Twirl that evil mustache.
-writing style I did not vibe with.
-dark MC romance that hints at the "bad stuff" going on, we don't really get a backstory on it.
-SECONDARY CHARACTERS SITTING DOWN AND SPURTING OFF SUPER IMPORTANT AND SUPER DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION AT THE DROP OF A HAT. need to know a characters inner working? Have a cup of coffee and Betsy will tell you their social security number, blood type, and psychological upbringing. Squint your eyes in confusion and a fucking MC PRESIDENT will start telling you CLUB SECRETS cause why not. They're family after knowing you for a month.

Had great potential, fell flat for me. Still enjoying finding a MC romance that wasn't full of treating their old lady's like shit. That was cool, rest of it was meh. Only 180 pages so not much time lost.
