King Tomb

I have been anxiously and impatiently awaiting King Tomb from the minute I finished reading King Cave.
And I was not disappointed! I was curious how the story was going to go, after the shocks at the end of King Cave. You will remember that Lily and Ezra were separated, they had been "mind raped" with all memories of each other wiped from their mind - NOOOOOO!!
The Mys/Com war is going full steam ahead and our Kings and Queens are spread across the world fighting. But Lily and Ezra are not kept apart too long - even if they don't remember who the other one is to them. Oh, and don't forget, Lily was pregnant with Ezra's baby at the end of King Cave so it is interesting how that all plays out!
Oh, and even better? They soon find out who the other is and what their relationship is. It is not drawn out till the end of the book, it is dealt with and done!
Now, just wait till you meet Isador - Isadorable more like it!!W
Ezra is one sexy beast. Gah, can't get enough of him, even when he is being an arse! And when he is being a dad - swoonworthy!
There are some real surprises in this book. There is one particular character that has so much to do with what has happened in the last book and now, and I was completely taken back by it - though looking back maybe I shouldn't have been?
We get all the Elders back. I especially love Antonio and Cahal (you remember, Lily and Ezra's dads?) And even if you didn't before, you will looooove them by the end. There is just something about them that put a big ol' smile on my dial - and it will you too!!
I wish we had gotten more of Jack and Pearl. I know this trilogy really is Lily and Ezra's, but Jack and Pearl were such a big part of the series, especially second book that I just wanted more of them!
The thing that kept this from being a 5 star read for me was the last 10% of the story. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it just seemed to wrap everything up too quickly and too easily. I liked the conclusion and where the story ended up, but the way it all happened just didn't seem to fit in with how the rest of the trilogy went, if that makes sense?
Ms Dawn has created a fantastical, wonderful land that I just want to lose myself in over and over again. I am sad to see this trilogy end, but I know that she will create more wonderful places for my mind to visit.
