I enjoy the idea of soulmates finding each other, so it was interesting to read about how they were part of an experiment to bring their past lives alive again. I am genuinely impressed with how the author created four distinct characters with unique personalities.
However, I was heartbroken whenit was confirmed that Jayce was gone! I kept hoping they would find a way to bring him back, but it didn't turn out that way. Although it was unfair for him to die, I believe that his memories were crucial for Kade to prevent him from becoming a complete psychopath again.
The ending was not what I anticipated, but it was still a happy one.I only wish that Jayce and Clay had also found their happy ending. I'm just glad there's another book with them in it, and it's definitely on my to-read list!
