Lies She Told by Cate Holahan
5.0

I chose this at my Book of the Month for September.

Lies She Told was a suspense thriller enjoyed from the very beginning. Liza writes romantic suspense books for a living. Her and her husband, who is a lawyer, are at a stressful time in their marriage. They are having fertility problems, Liza has thirty days to produce her next book, and Nick, her husband's coworker and best friend, has been missing for a month.

As the book progresses, the chapter alternate between Liza and the next chapter in her book. Liza's book slowly begins to resemble what is happening in her real life. It becomes officially real for Liza when her book character dumps a body in the same body of water they find Nick's body. As Liza struggles to tell the difference between what is real and fictional, readers are left guessing at who really killed Nick.

Lies She Told was a complete page turner for me. I was disappointed when I had to put it down this morning before work and this evening when I had to go pick up pizza! I highly recommend to those who like suspense books.
