Poetically written, this story is about Calliope June who's Tourette syndrome and unbalanced mother makes it constantly difficult being the new girl. She befriends the popular boy next door who also attends her new school and they both blossom - she out of her shell and hiding her TS and he knowing right from wrong and standing up to bullying. I adored this book as it was short, sweet, and wholesome.
