The Lives of Tao
by Wesley Chu
Super fun read - I never felt restless as I quickly consumed this book. That said, it felt a little lighter than I tend to want in stories, the mysteries that seem to exist in the premise were not highlighted as prominently as the story of Roen getting his life together. Some tropes came in to play that were irritating but didn't strongly detract from my enjoyment of the book (mainly love triangle nonsense.) I look forward to seeing where the series continues, and am hoping for more alien conflict and less human romance.
