This was a kinda weird read for me, in a good way. It ended as a 4 ⭐ read but it started as a 2.5/3 stars.

Guen is a character that is presented with a mental illness, and from that point, it was kind of predictable how things will work out, it put me off for a bit. But as the story progresses, and Luthor takes a bigger part of the story it gets interesting.
It's just as the first part of the book is something to just go through to get to the good part.

The character's ark doesn't have much of a development, but on the other hand, this is a short read and mostly based on world-building. We'll hopefully see the character development through the other books in the series as the story develops.

Now that I got that out of my system... The writing was so easy to read and the world-building is quite interesting with a grand veil of mystery of which side is telling the truth. It was getting better by the end that got me to raise my ratings.
The ending was fast-paced action that raises heart rate while reading it. It ends with so many questions left unanswered.

And for the end... The epilogue... Chefs kiss!
You just have to go to the next book!
