Another historical fiction piece that I was actually fairly interested in. It doesn't necessarily have a whole lot of "magical" elements in it despite the name but rather a lot of events and situations before and after the civil war that tell our story. We have different timelines and different people that we follow and I found it to be interesting but I'm going to give this 3.5 stars, maybe 3.75 just because it's not quite what I was expecting to get. Despite that, I did like it and I think it's worth the read.
